Certification is the assessment of jewelry done by third party, which is equally important for a consumer as well as jeweler. It gives security and confidence to the customer that whatever they are buying from a jeweler is the same as jeweler promised. From a jeweler’s point of view it is important for building trust and relationship with the customer.

Who are the diamond jewelry grading laboratories?
Accuracy of the certificates solely depends upon the laboratory certifying the jewelry. Several well-known laboratories are:-
  • International Gemological Institute (IGI)
  • European Gemological Laboratory (EGL)
  • Indian Diamond Institute (IDI)
  • Solitaire Gemological Labs (SGL)
  • Diamond & Gem Laboratories of America (DGLA)

What does a certificate consists of?
Certification of jewelry is done in mounted situation without disassembling the diamonds studded in the product. A certificate consists of various details which are mentioned below:-
  • Unique serial no. – It is assigned by the lab, which is inscribed on the product as well.
  • Description of the product – it includes a brief description of the product. Details included are category of product (e.g. ring, earring, necklace etc.), gold karatage (18 kt or 14 kt), color of gold (white, yellow, pink etc.), and stamping instruction.
  • Shape and cut of diamonds
  • No. of diamonds
  • Gold weight
  • Diamond carat weight
  • Color grade
  • Clarity grade
  • Finish
  • Photograph of the product

Certification Policies of JEWEL GOLDI
Each and every stone set in our jewelry is inspected and certified by renowned laboratories such as International Gemological Institute (IGI), European Gemological Laboratory (EGL), Indian Diamond Institute (IDI), Solitaire Gemological Labs (SGL), Diamond & Gem Laboratories of America (DGLA) etc., as per customer’s requirement. In addition to this we provide our in-house certificate of authenticity based on the grading done by our in-house grading department.
